Here are some great features of these earphones:
- Frequency range = 5 Hz – 25,000 Hz
- The SRH840 also provides an ergonomic fi t and collapsible design for total comfort and portability.
- Adjustable, padded, and moisture-wicking headband for superior comfort over extended periods
- Memory foam earpads provide increased sound isolation and comfort
I was puzzled when I heard a certain sound that seemed out of place. After a while, I figured out I was hearing the performer’s breathing! In addition, while listening to my favorite album, I could hear the pick scratch the guitar.
To top it all off, I was only listening to a CD recording on my laptop that has no tone controls. Another good thing about this product is that if the wire breaks, it can easily be replaced.
Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Shure SRH840 earphones.
If you see your musical tastes expanding or you prefer other genres, I would recommend (based on what I’ve owned) to wait for a deal on a pair of HD580s or HD600s if you can go with open headphones. I haven’t heard much, so I would say if you need closed headphones these would be my recommendation.
So to conclude, I would say the SRH840s are a great choice for the sub-$200 price range, especially if you need some isolation. They’re very comfortable and sound great.
